Piedritas de Esperanza

Piedritas de Esperanza means little stones of hope. We try to contribute our stone to the future of the children of Colombia. The Foundation Piedritas de Esperanza started in May 2006 and has the objective to help children in Colombia that have less chances on a hopeful future.

Our trips through Latin America, and Colombia in specific, have opened our eyes about poverty. The poverty known in Colombia is unknown in countries like the Netherlands. People over there live in bad conditions and have to struggle every day to gain a meal for their family. This affects children the most. They have to work all day to gain some pesos, which means there is no time for education. No education means a future without hope. That is where Piedritas de Esperanza wants to help. Every child we can help, is a child that has more chance on a better future.
